Cleanwater Farm’s Relationship with Efficiency

At Cleanwater Farm, efficiency didn’t happen overnight. Small changes become big changes, namely in the space of places no one has gone… and places people have been…

Enter the Muckraker, Biochar, Polymer use, rotating cylinder dewatering boxes, Blackwater Depots and more.

The Cleanwater farm has paved the way for efficiency in the wastewater industry. We looked at every part of the process: from how waste arrived to how it left, and asked a simple question: Can this be done better?

Sometimes that meant rethinking equipment layouts to keep trucks moving smoothly. Other times it meant giving our team the tools and training they needed to work smarter, not harder.

Every improvement built on the next in a big way.

Over time, we realized that efficiency isn’t just about speed. It’s about balance. When you find that balance, ideas stack onto each other quickly and snowball: time, cost, even environmental impact and profitability.

A cleaner process runs faster, wastes less, and takes less effort to maintain, giving you more time to improve.

Our systems now flow in a way that feels natural.

The Muckraker  is our big hitter. It helps us process waste faster and cleaner, cutting down on manual labor while protecting the environment, with every gallon that passes through it representing time saved.

We’ve also learned that waste doesn’t have to be the end of the story. By turning byproducts into resources, like using biochar as a soil amendment or reusing treated water  — we’ve built a system where almost nothing goes to waste.

What used to be an expense is now part of what keeps the operation running strong, reducing the amount of time spent land applying or hauling excess waste to landfills. Today, Cleanwater Farm runs on steady, sustainable efficiency. It’s the kind of efficiency that gives back to the team, to the land, and to the communities that depend on clean water.
